Swapnil Srivastava is an accomplished professional artist and an art educator. She holds master’s degree in visual arts and has moved from India to Denmark in 2017. She is a mother of 6 year old lovely boy.
Swapnil’s main painting medium is Oil but she also like to work with many different mediums like acrylics, water color and charcoal etc. Swapnil has a keen intertest in Portraits, still life, landscape/cityscapes. She also loves to pursue many other art forms like traditional wash painting, miniature paintings, Indian folk art and Pottery.
Her style of work is to create a harmony in colors with elements in our nature & surrounding to support the subject and narrative. She loves to paint portraits in Oil, experimenting with different lights and technique. Also, she composes her own still-life painting with the assorted objects she likes to collect.
Over the period of 12 years of practicing as a professional artist, Swapnil has developed a unique style of combining realism with surrealistic symbolic nuisances to express herself through her narrative paintings. Narrative works are visual emotions, which are inspired by her life and surroundings
Besides India and Denmark, Swapnil has actively participated in art events in UK as a member of Portsmouth and Hampshire Art Society during her stay there for couple of years. Her work has been exhibited and collected in different parts of the world like India, Korea, China, Japan, US and UK etc. Her work “In the race of Existence” was the winner of a national award in India where she stood as a first female artist in 27 years of competition history that year.
She has been as an art educator in India and currently she is enjoying running an art club at Viking International School for young children and also taking personal art classes.
